This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Technology & Digital Strategy based in the United States.
This is a senior technology leadership role with broad responsibility across enterprise IT, digital operations, cybersecurity, data, AI, applications, and technology-enabled products.
You will shape and execute a multi-year technology strategy that directly supports organizational growth, operational excellence, and mission impact.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of critical platforms, vendors, budgets, security, and digital initiatives.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team while building strong partnerships across executive, operational, fundraising, communications, and program functions.
A major focus will be advancing responsible AI adoption, strengthening data and analytics capabilities, and evolving digital platforms for scale.

The position reports to the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer and requires strong executive presence, business judgment, and cross-functional influence.
- Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise technology strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational priorities, growth plans, operational needs, and mission objectives.
- Serve as a strategic technology advisor to executive leadership, providing guidance on technology investments, emerging technologies, risks, governance, architecture, and innovation opportunities.
- Lead enterprise AI strategy, including identifying high-value use cases, establishing responsible-use standards and risk controls, evaluating tools, and driving implementation, adoption, training, and change management.
- Oversee IT and workplace technology operations for a distributed workforce, including managed service providers, help desk services, devices, Microsoft 365, identity and access management, collaboration platforms, onboarding, and application administration.
- Own cybersecurity, privacy-supporting controls, technology risk management, incident response, backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and organizational resilience initiatives.
- Lead the strategy and governance of digital platforms, websites, fundraising and advocacy technologies, analytics capabilities, and associated vendor relationships.
- Oversee Salesforce and other enterprise applications, including roadmaps, security, permissions, integrations, data quality, reporting, releases, user support, automation, and adoption.
- Establish organization-wide data governance, reporting standards, stewardship practices, business intelligence capabilities, dashboards, data quality processes, and Power BI initiatives.
- Provide executive technology and product leadership for a mission-critical platform, overseeing architecture, cloud strategy, infrastructure, integrations, security, releases, vendors, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
- Manage annual technology budgets, forecasts, contracts, licensing, purchasing, renewals, vendor negotiations, and multi-year investment plans while developing clear business cases for major technology decisions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary technology and digital operations team, creating clarity around ownership, priorities, decision-making, accountability, and ways of working.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, managed service providers, software vendors, implementation partners, and consultants to ensure resources remain aligned with organizational priorities.
- Continuously improve technology governance, service quality, documentation, operational resilience, employee experience, and the organization's ability to use technology effectively at scale.
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience across technology, digital operations, enterprise systems, product management, data, cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience serving as the senior technology leader for a complex organization and developing and executing enterprise-wide technology strategies and roadmaps.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build organizational capabilities across IT operations, enterprise applications, data, analytics, cybersecurity, digital products, and technology delivery.
- Strong experience with cybersecurity, technology governance, privacy controls, risk management, business continuity, and organizational resilience.
- Experience leading CRM, data and analytics, digital platforms, enterprise applications, and significant technology implementations or transformations.
- Demonstrated experience managing technology budgets, contracts, licensing, vendors, managed service providers, and implementation partners.
- Experience evaluating, implementing, governing, and scaling AI-enabled solutions, with sound judgment regarding appropriate and responsible AI adoption.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate organizational needs into practical technology priorities, investments, roadmaps, and execution plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technology concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence, relationship-building ability, and influence without relying solely on formal authority.
- Comfortable operating as a builder in a mission-driven, distributed, high-growth, and continuously evolving environment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish structure, governance, processes, and accountability where they may not yet fully exist.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Ability and authorization to work in the United States and work Eastern Time Zone hours.
- Willingness to travel domestically when organizational needs require it.

- Competitive base salary of $175,000–$190,000, with placement based on experience, internal equity, and organizational budget.
