Position Summary
Bill Howe is seeking a motivated Plumbing Install Apprentice to join a two-person crew alongside a Lead Technician, supporting the installation of plumbing systems in new residential and commercial construction. Under the direction of Journeyman Plumbers, the apprentice will develop hands-on technical skills while assisting with job site tasks, minor repairs, and site maintenance. This role offers a clear path for advancement based on performance and skill development, including participation in Bill Howe's Blue Collar Academy apprenticeship program.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers and the Lead Technician with the installation of plumbing systems
- Perform minor repairs, dig trenches, and haul debris as directed
- Clean drains and grease traps as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, clearing tools and debris during and after each job
- Participate in on-the-job training and the Blue Collar Academy program (4-year apprenticeship track) to progress toward Journeyman status
- Apply learned skills and meet performance expectations and qualification milestones
- Actively seek and incorporate feedback from peers and supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
- Routine use of construction equipment, including heavy machinery, hand tools, and power tools

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent use of hands for fine motor tasks (fingering, handling, feeling) and reaching with hands and arms
Environmental Conditions

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 33 USD per hour(San Diego)
