Description:
The Outpatient Business Office Manager will be responsible for overall operation of the facility working collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Services and Performance to ensure access to care and that policies and procedures are followed. Ensure proper authorization has been received, is accurate and on file for all payor sources.
- Staff and schedule supervision for outpatient clerks.
- Collaborates with Director of Clinical Services and Performance regarding client access and schedule of counselors.
- Reports to Chief Operating Officer on compliance with policies and procedures in Outpatient office
- Oversees all charts and assures they are current with correct paperwork and scanned into the system.
- Checks charges against progress notes in electronic health record to ensure accuracy.
- Tracks authorizations and keeps counselors and front office staff informed by doing weekly report.
- Assists in the month-end processing of the accounts receivable system, prepares statements and General Ledger entries.
- Oversees monthly fire drills and does routine safety inspections of Twin Falls facility.
- Performs secretarial, receptionist and clerical duties.
- Answer incoming phone calls. Take messages and direct them appropriately.
- Interview people coming into the office and direct them to the appropriate person.
- Accountable for Petty Cash Fund, keeping it in balance and applying for reimbursement when needed.
- Responsible for assuring that proper authorization has been received and is accurate and on file for any clients admitted.
- Keep track of all payments collected and is responsible for deposit.
- Perform and document drug screenings, including urinalysis (UA), in accordance with program standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; continued education or an associates degree preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and general computer systems, with the ability to learn and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and machinery, including a computer, printer, photocopier, facsimile machine, and telephone.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, and repetitive motions.
- If in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder, must have a minimum of five (5) years of sobriety from substances of use.
- Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, urinalysis (UA), and TB test.
- Must obtain CPR certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
