- Build and ship new features, product improvements, and bug fixes within the authorization team’s codebase.
- Own small-to-medium scoped development projects with minimal oversight, taking responsibility from planning through completion and post-release support.
- Develop and maintain authorization services and APIs that support secure access controls, permissions, and identity-related workflows.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, release, monitoring, and production support.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to improving testing strategies, engineering practices, and documentation.
- Navigate existing code and established architectural patterns effectively while identifying and proposing thoughtful improvements where appropriate.
- Conduct constructive code reviews that strengthen software quality, maintainability, security, and team delivery.

- Communicate progress clearly, raise blockers early, and ensure relevant stakeholders understand project outcomes and technical decisions.
- Contribute to developer productivity initiatives, including improvements to tooling, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in production support, on-call, or incident-response activities as needed.
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, research, and problem-solving while maintaining appropriate human oversight and security standards.
- Proven software development experience with strong proficiency in Go and the technical skills required to work independently on production software.
- Experience building or working with authorization, identity, access-control, or permissions systems, with a solid understanding of how secure access decisions are designed and implemented.
- Ability to work effectively within an established codebase, understand existing patterns, and introduce improvements without unnecessary complexity.
- Strong quality mindset, with demonstrated attention to testing, maintainability, reliability, security, and clear technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to share progress, surface risks and blockers, explain technical concepts, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach and openness to feedback, with the ability to incorporate constructive input and contribute positively to technical discussions.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver independently while knowing when to seek guidance or involve teammates.
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call or incident-response rotations is a plus.
- Familiarity with developer productivity improvements involving tooling, CI/CD, automated testing, or documentation is advantageous.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where priorities evolve and continuous improvement is expected.
- Interest in applying AI tools thoughtfully across software development workflows while maintaining high standards for security, privacy, and engineering quality.
- U.S. base salary: $123,000–$172,000 USD annually.
- Equity grant and, where applicable, participation in incentive programs.
