Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Empowerly is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help shape the next generation of our platform. This is a fully remote US role on a small, global, venture-backed team, with core collaboration hours in Pacific Time.

What you’ll do

• Own features from rough idea through technical design, build, testing, deployment, and post-launch cleanup.
• Build React front-end experiences and backend services/APIs end to end.
• Determine how AI models and machine learning features are integrated into product experiences.
• Partner with Product and Design during planning and technical scoping.
• Review code, mentor earlier-career engineers, and raise engineering quality.
• Set technical direction, evaluate scalability, and make architecture decisions.
• Monitor and improve production performance.
• Track AI and modern web development trends and recommend practical adoption.

What we’re looking for

• 4–6+ years of professional full-stack development experience with meaningful ownership.
• Deep ReactJS expertise and strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript experience in production applications.
• Experience owning services, APIs, and integrations end to end.
• Production experience integrating AI models, LLMs, AI APIs, or machine learning features.
• Technical decision-making experience and a track record of mentoring or reviewing engineers’ work.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Self-hosted VPS or deployment/DevOps ownership.
• Experience publishing or maintaining private npm or GitHub packages.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.

Compensation and location

The base salary range for this role is USD 145,000–165,000. This role is fully remote in the United States, with core collaboration hours in Pacific Time.
