Summary: The Risk Management Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data related to patient safety, risk management, claims, incidents, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. This position supports organizational decision-making by identifying trends, monitoring key performance indicators, developing dashboards, and providing actionable data to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes.

The analyst collaborates with Risk Management, Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Compliance, Finance, and Clinical Leadership to ensure accurate reporting and meaningful analysis of organizational risk data.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Statistics, Public Health, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field required.

Equivalent combinations of education and progressively responsible healthcare data analysis experience may be considered.

Experience:

• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in healthcare analytics, quality, risk management, patient safety, or related analytical field preferred.

• Experience working with incident reporting systems, electronic medical records, and healthcare databases preferred.

• Experience developing dashboards and executive reports.

• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory reporting requirements preferred.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

• Experience using reporting and visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of SQL or other database query tools preferred.

• Understanding of healthcare quality measures, patient safety indicators, and risk management principles.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and meaningful manner.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements:

• Primarily office-based with prolonged periods of computer work.

• Occasional attendance at meetings throughout hospital locations.

• May require occasional extended hours to meet reporting deadlines.

• Ability to sit for extended periods.

• Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

• Visual acuity sufficient to review detailed reports and electronic data.
