Servers at our Club are responsible for providing top-notch service in our dining facilities while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. They work in an exclusive setting where they can showcase their hospitality skills while building rewarding relationships with our valued members. Our Servers thrive in an upscale environment and can maintain a great attitude while working under pressure.
The key responsibilities of a Server on our team are to:
- Greet members and guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about offerings when asked.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them efficiently to kitchen and bar staff.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure orders are accurate.
- Engage with members and guests, respond to their requests, and ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections and service areas.
- Process payments and handle transactions accurately and securely.
- Collaborate with team members and kitchen staff to ensure unison in service delivery.
- Uphold the Club’s standards of quality and service expectations.
This is a nonexempt position paid on an hourly basis plus allocated service charges and voluntary tips.
Requirements:To be successful as a Server at Illini Country Club, one must
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with poise.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Possess or be willing to obtain relevant food handling and BASSET certifications within seven days of hire.
- Be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, etc. for extended periods of time.
- Be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Have basic math and computer skills.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and late hours.
- Have current Illinois’ food handler’s and BASSETT certifications, or be willing to obtain those within seven (7) days of hire.
