Senior Tax Manager - Real Estate - Greenville, SC
Who: An experienced tax professional with 7+ years in public accounting and deep real estate industry expertise.

Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Manager will work with real estate clients across multiple markets, guiding them through complex tax matters while cultivating strong, strategic relationships. This role includes managing tax compliance and consulting engagements, reviewing technical work, leading team development, and supporting business growth initiatives. You will play a key part in shaping the direction of the group while elevating both client outcomes and internal talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain excellent client relationships with leading real estate companies.
- Perform complex technical reviews of tax returns across a variety of entity types.
- Identify complex client issues and propose creative, strategic tax solutions.
- Review operating agreements, LOIs, purchase agreements, and other transaction documents.
- Oversee engagement economics, including billing, collections, and profitability.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and motivate team members to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Collaborate across departments to expand service offerings and identify cross-functional opportunities.
- Grow a professional network with colleagues, referral partners, prospects, and industry groups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Tax preferred.
- 7+ years of recent public accounting experience managing real estate tax engagements.
- Demonstrated experience developing staff and managing workflow and deadlines.
- Deep expertise in real estate taxation, including partnerships and multi-entity structures.
- CPA certification required.
- Strong leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication and networking abilities.
- Proficiency with tax technology and software tools.
