This is a Per Diem Tier 3 assignment covering a vacancy. There are no benefits/PL associated with this position. You will receive a $20/hr bonus pay on top of base pay. Assignment dates are subject to change at any time. The nuclear medicine technologist is proficient in the use of imaging equipment to produce high quality images for diagnostic purposes. Performs nuclear medicine studies: including stress testing, MUGA scans and viability studies. Population served is primarily adolescent, adult and older adult. Reports to the Assistant Director of the Cardiac Diagnostic Center and works under the general direction of the lead nuclear medicine technologist and clinical direction of the medical director. |

RESPONSIBILITIES: |
|
· Maintains logs in accordance with NRC regulations: receipt, usage, disposal, returned doses |
|
· Prepares and injections individual patient radiopharmaceutical dose |
|
· Performs quality control: camera, calibration instruments, and radiopharmaceuticals |
|
· Places order for radiopharmaceuticals, maintains sign-on |
|
· Maintains radiation safety: adheres to WH policy, knows/uses radiation safety standards |
|

· Maintain adequate records of all exams; complete required recordkeeping |
