Job Description
Procurement & Inventory Manager
ProCompounding Pharmacy
Build the Supply Chain That Fuels Growth
ProCompounding Pharmacy is growing rapidly, and growth requires more than great pharmacists—it requires the right products, ingredients, and supplies to be available exactly when they are needed.
We're looking for a Procurement & Inventory Manager who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to build a world-class purchasing operation.
This is not simply an inventory position.
You'll be responsible for sourcing critical products, developing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, solving supply challenges, and ensuring our pharmacy can continue serving patients without interruption.
If you enjoy finding solutions, influencing outcomes, improving systems, and taking responsibility for results, we want to talk with you.
What You'll Do
• Own purchasing and inventory performance across the pharmacy
• Build and manage relationships with suppliers and distributors
• Negotiate pricing, terms, availability, and service levels
• Identify and solve sourcing challenges before they impact patients
• Monitor market conditions, shortages, and supply disruptions
• Develop inventory strategies that support growth while controlling costs
• Partner with pharmacy leadership to forecast future demand
• Improve purchasing processes, reporting, and operational efficiency
• Evaluate supplier performance and hold vendors accountable
• Manage purchasing of:
o Compounding ingredients
o Prescription medications
o OTC products
o Packaging materials
o Lab and operational supplies
• Ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Support DSCSA, DEA, USP, and Board of Pharmacy requirements
What Success Looks Like
• Inventory is available when needed
• Drug shortages are anticipated and managed proactively
• Vendor relationships are strong and productive
• Purchasing costs are controlled
• Inventory accuracy remains high
• Processes continue improving as the company grows
• Pharmacy teams trust that materials will be available when needed
You'll Fit If You
✓ Enjoy taking ownership of important outcomes
✓ Like solving problems others haven't solved yet
✓ Are confident working with vendors and negotiating solutions
✓ Balance speed with attention to detail
✓ Take initiative rather than waiting for direction
✓ Want responsibility and influence
✓ Enjoy building systems and improving processes
Requirements
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable using inventory systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
Preferred
• Pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing experience
• DSCSA, DEA, USP <795>, or USP <800> familiarity
• Inventory management or ERP experience
• Pharmacy technician license or procurement certification
What We Offer
• Starting at $18/hour, based on experience, with growth opportunities
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits
• Paid time off and holidays
• Retirement plan with company contribution
• Significant ownership of a critical business function
• Opportunity to build systems and influence company growth
• A fast-growing organization focused on quality patient care
If you enjoy ownership, accountability, and solving complex challenges, we'd like to hear from you.
