This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Corporate Operations based in the United States.
In this senior leadership role, you will be a key driver of operational excellence and strategic execution across the organization.
You will work closely with the COO and executive team to translate high-level business objectives into scalable, actionable operational plans.
The role spans end-to-end corporate operations, including finance coordination, compliance, vendor management, and enterprise systems optimization.
You will play a critical role in strengthening infrastructure, processes, and governance to support rapid growth in a complex biotech environment.
With broad cross-functional exposure, you will influence decisions across R&D, development, legal, and external partnerships.

- Serve as a strategic operational partner to executive leadership, ensuring alignment between company strategy and execution across all functions.
- Lead operational planning, KPI tracking, and performance reporting, including board and executive-level updates.
- Oversee finance-adjacent operations such as forecasting, budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor payment coordination.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve systems, processes, and tools to enhance operational scalability and efficiency.
- Own and maintain quality and compliance frameworks, including QMS, SOPs, and audit readiness across the organization.
- Ensure enterprise-wide compliance across legal, regulatory, insurance, and operational domains while fostering a strong compliance culture.
- Manage cross-functional operational areas including facilities, IT infrastructure, software systems, procurement, and logistics.
- Oversee relationships with external partners (e.g., CROs, CMOs, vendors) supporting development and manufacturing activities.
- Lead contract negotiation, sourcing, and procurement to ensure cost-effective and compliant operations.
- Manage and develop the Operations team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and capability building.
- Identify operational risks and inefficiencies and drive proactive, scalable solutions across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, engineering, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences operations environments.
- 3–5+ years of senior leadership experience in operations within a high-growth or startup environment.
- Proven experience scaling operational systems, teams, and processes in complex organizations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and investor-facing reporting.
- Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks, including QMS, SOP development, regulatory alignment, and audit readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational alignment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive and board-level reporting.
- Strong project management, organizational, and change management capabilities.
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and operational procurement.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Collaborative leadership style with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Exposure to R&D-driven or technology-enabled biotech environments is highly desirable.
