Bilingual Deputy Organizer (Spanish)
North Shore Strategies – Lower Manhattan, NY
Compensation: $5,000 per month
Classification: Exempt
Start Date / End Date: ASAP - 06/23/2026
Reports To: Canvassing Director

North Shore Strategies is currently hiring Deputy Organizers to support voter contact and grassroots organizing efforts. The Organizer will be responsible for the day-to-day recruitment, training, and management of volunteers, as well as helping to execute the campaign’s field and organizing strategy. This position is ideal for candidates who are highly motivated, organized, and eager to help build a strong, people-powered campaign.

Ideal candidates are dependable self-starters who can demonstrate leadership in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and are comfortable working directly with volunteers and community members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver persuasive and accurate messaging about candidates and ballot initiatives to educate and motivate voters.
  • Record daily data and submit detailed reports to the manager.
  • Consistently meet or exceed outreach and engagement goals.
  • Represent North Shore Strategies with professionalism and integrity in all public interactions.
  • Attend required training and team meetings to stay aligned with campaign strategy and talking points.
  • Foster positive connections with voters to promote long-term community trust and campaign visibility.
  • Represent the campaign at community events to recruit volunteers, build new relationships, and strengthen existing partnerships.
  • This role requires regular evening and weekend work, as outreach takes place when voters can be reached.
Qualifications
  • MUST SPEAK NATIVE/FLUENT SPANISH.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills, with cultural competency across diverse communities.
  • Reliable, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Willing and able to canvass outdoors for extended periods in possibly varying weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in a political role is a plus!
  • Strong belief in progressive values and civic participation.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and achieving performance targets.
