  • Guide architectural decisions and support senior engineers in designing scalable and maintainable solutions.
Requirements:
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 12+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservice-based architectures.
  • Active U.S. Secret clearance required, with U.S. citizenship mandatory.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes-based platforms such as Tanzu or Cloud Foundry.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise system design, scalability, and secure software engineering practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills with the ability to guide senior technical teams.
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (e.g., security, federal, or defense-related systems).
  • Preferred: experience with AWS or cloud certifications, Appian plugin development, publications or patents, and CMMC/NIST frameworks.
Benefits:
  • Annual salary range: $155,000 – $210,000 (target midpoint $180,000), based on experience and qualifications
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (Cigna and Principal providers)
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off (PTO) and flexible leave policies
  • Education and certification reimbursement programs
  • Hybrid/remote work flexibility with potential on-site requirements
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical, high-impact enterprise systems
  • Stable, long-term technical leadership role in a highly specialized environment.
