This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Associate (SOS Product) based in India.
This is an early-career generalist role supporting the growth and operations of a duty of care and travel risk management product. You will work directly with the SOS Business Lead, taking ownership of high-priority commercial, partner, and operational initiatives. The role combines project ownership, go-to-market support, relationship management, and business operations. You will also develop expertise in Duty of Care and Travel Risk Management, including international frameworks such as ISO 31030. Working across teams, you will help solve bottlenecks, improve processes, and ensure effective collaboration around the product. This is a high-ownership opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, ambiguity, and making a tangible impact in a fast-moving remote environment.
As a Business Associate, you will support the SOS Business Lead across strategic and operational priorities while independently driving projects from initial problem definition through execution. You will act as a versatile partner across commercial, marketing, partnerships, and internal operations, developing both business expertise and subject-matter knowledge.
- Own high-priority projects spanning commercial, partner, and operational topics, driving them from problem identification through delivery.
- Support commercial initiatives by helping develop enablement processes and advance go-to-market objectives.
- Assist with event-based marketing campaigns and manage relationships with external stakeholders and partners.
- Support the development and improvement of internal processes.
- Represent the SOS Business Lead in selected meetings and act as a proxy when appropriate.
- Synthesize information and prepare materials for internal and customer-facing meetings and discussions.
- Build strong knowledge of Duty of Care and Travel Risk Management, including frameworks such as ISO 31030.
- Develop the ability to represent the subject matter credibly in internal and external interactions.
- Identify and resolve internal bottlenecks across teams and processes.
- Champion the SOS product across other departments while facilitating collaboration between teams.
- Contribute to commercial, partnership, and operational projects with a structured and results-oriented approach.
- Work closely with the SOS Business Lead and cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative environment.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an ambitious, analytical, and proactive generalist who is comfortable taking ownership in an evolving environment. You should combine strong communication and collaboration skills with an interest in SaaS business models, commercial operations, partnerships, and international travel risk management.
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience, such as consulting, startup environments, or a generalist/founder's associate-type role.
- Alternatively, an outstanding academic record combined with strong internship experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English and German communication skills.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Structured and analytical approach to solving ambiguous and complex problems.
- Comfortable working with modern AI tools and quantitative data.
- Strong sense of ownership and proactive approach to responsibilities.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Genuine interest in networking and relationship building.
- Fundamental understanding of SaaS sales, marketing, and partnerships.
- Genuine interest in or preliminary experience with Duty of Care and Travel Risk Management.
- Interest in Travel Insurance and Emergency Management / SOS services.
- Ability to learn new subject areas quickly and develop credible expertise.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to take on varied responsibilities and contribute beyond a narrowly defined job scope.
