Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 - Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Work Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm - M-F
Job Summary
The Distribution Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily warehouse and distribution activities to ensure the accurate, safe, and efficient handling of materials and finished goods. This role serves as a working leader, supporting both the operational and administrative aspects of shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control within Plaskolite’s distribution facility.
The Distribution Lead assists the Distribution Supervisor in directing workflow, training team members, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting Plaskolite’s commitment to timely customer delivery, inventory accuracy, and a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality—reflecting Plaskolite’s core values of Integrity and Improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, order picking, staging, shipping, and material storage activities.
- Assign and coordinate work tasks for distribution team members to meet production schedules, shipping deadlines, and customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse staff during shifts, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Ensure all materials are handled, packaged, and labeled in accordance with Plaskolite’s standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor workflow and productivity, identifying and communicating potential bottlenecks or process issues to supervision.
- Train and mentor team members on proper material handling, equipment operation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and safe handling.
- Perform inventory control activities including cycle counts, reconciliations, and verification of product quantities and locations.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and freight documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and OSHA safety regulations in all distribution operations.
- Promote a culture of safety by leading by example, enforcing PPE use, and participating in safety meetings and audits.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently as needed to support warehouse activities.
- Collaborate with other departments including Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to coordinate material flow and resolve order or shipping issues.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall distribution performance.
- Assist with system data entry, including shipment confirmation, inventory adjustments, and order tracking in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Communicate daily production goals, safety updates, and operational priorities to the warehouse team.
- Assist in evaluating team member performance, providing feedback, and supporting continuous skill development.
- Maintain awareness of schedule changes and prioritize workload to ensure on-time delivery and operational flexibility.
- Support new team member onboarding and cross-training to enhance workforce capability and coverage.
- Coordinate with supervisors and management to ensure adequate staffing, material availability, and equipment readiness.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
