Lead Clinical Supervisor - Rochester

The Lead Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a team of behavioral health clinicians as well as assisting the Clinical Director in supporting the clinical supervision team. The Lead Clinical Supervisor works as part of an interdisciplinary team to optimize treatment provided to underserved and marginalized clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the supervision team is in compliance with policies and procedures as specified in the Clinical Handbook and Supervisor Handbook.

  • Provide supplemental supervisory support to clinicians and interns in the absence of the primary supervisor.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for responding to questions from clinical supervisors regarding clinic policies and procedures.

  • Provide on-call coverage for after-hours clinical emergencies.

  • Assist the compliance department with internal utilization reviews and providing feedback to clinicians on their charts.

  • Review supervision notes to monitor quality of supervision provided by clinic supervisory staff.

  • Assist the Clinical Director and Program Coordinator with quality improvement and training initiatives.

  • Provide weekly clinical supervision to therapists as assigned, and document supervision sessions in a timely manner

  • Complete and maintain NYS licensure paperwork for supervisees as applicable.

  • Assist with the development and facilitation of clinical training for staff in partnership with the leadership team.

  • Assist Clinical Director and COO with implementation of quality improvement projects set forth by NYS OMH.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to cover administrative tasks as needed, including performance management of assigned therapists when necessary

  • Perform ongoing review of high-risk cases and provide clinical solutions as appropriate.

  • Respond to clinical crises and other clinical issues brought forward by supervisees.

  • Help develop and improve clinical policies and procedures on an ongoing basis to support overall success of the program.

  • Maintain a reduced caseload of therapy clients; complete all required clinical documentation in a timely manner, including comprehensive assessments, treatment plans and progress notes.

  • Participate in the recruitment of new supervisors by sitting in on interviews with the Human Resources team

  • Other related duties as assigned by the Clinical Director

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

  • Previous experience using computerized appointment scheduling systems and/or electronic Medical Record systems

  • Knowledgeable in NYS OMH Outpatient Clinic regulations

  • Knowledgeable in NYS Mandated Reporting requirements

  • Knowledgeable in HIPAA Regulations

  • Detail-oriented and outcome-driven

  • Able to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Accountability and integrity

  • Meticulous attention to detail while multitasking

  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence in personal interactions

  • Exceptional communication skills - written and verbal

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Word, Excel, G-Suite, and other software/applications

Compensation is based on credentials and experience.

Working Conditions
This position will be located at the Rochester office at 1299 Portland Avenue, Suite1, Rochester, NY 14621. This is a professional work environment where a computer, desk, chair and office supplies will be provided onsite at each of our offices.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the role above.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak on the phone or computer throughout the day, stand and sit for an extended period of time and be able to write and answer emails in addition to carrying objects no greater than 25 pounds, when needed.
