SUMMARY

The Asset Based Lending Portfolio Officer is responsible for the ongoing management, monitoring, and maintenance of a portfolio of asset-based lending relationships while also supporting new and existing credit underwriting. The role ensures disciplined risk management across both portfolio and new business activities. The Portfolio Officer partners with Relationship Managers, Underwriters, and Credit Officers to maintain strong asset quality, deliver excellent client service, and support the origination of well-structured ABL facilities.

Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act), Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation DD (Truth in Savings Act) Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd Frank Act), Elder Abuse Laws, Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program, Right to Financial Privacy Act (state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act.

REQUIRED DUTIES

1. Works directly with Portfolio Manager on the management and administration of an ABL portfolio to include various ABL term and revolving credit facilities.

2. Supports Portfolio Management and Marketing underwriting CARs, IMs, LOI’s as well as adheres to and maintains underwriting and portfolio credit risk management framework and processes.

3. Supports Portfolio manager including maintaining regular contact with assigned customer base to include follow-up on Borrowing Base and related collateral reporting, follows up on client reporting and advance requests, quarterly questionnaires for QLRs as well as assists with the overall maintenance of client relationships.

4. Reviews and processes the daily or weekly client advance requests as well as ensures the Borrowing Base Certificates are properly and accurately submitted by the client for final submittal and are properly posted or uploaded to the Solifi system – Asset Based Lending Software. This includes roll-forwarding of the collateral as well as, at minimum, completing monthly reconciliations of the client collateral and loan with Solifi. Additionally, timely and accurately calculates ineligibles through Asset Reader and reviews the weekly or monthly ineligible calculation results before submitting to Portfolio Manager to ensure accurate calculations.

5. When appropriate, supports Portfolio Manager with analysis and appropriate information necessary to respond to internal and external reviews with respect to assigned portfolio, including audits and regulatory examinations.

6. Spread A/R and A/P agings as well as client financial statements; after approval from Portfolio Manager, posts to the Solifi trend card.

7. Have an ability to Identify any red flags or negative trends particularly on the Solifi trend card and escalate early warning signs of credit deterioration or operational issues to the Portfolio Manager.

8. Assists in setting up a new client in nCino as well as assisting in the underwriting of new and existing ABL transactions, renewals, extensions, modifications, amendments, and waivers, including providing any additional support to the Portfolio Manager as it relates to the legal documentation and closing process.

9. Spreads financial statements as well as reviews client’s quarterly compliance certificate and provides initial comments on potential covenant issues. When appropriate, weighs in on the client’s collateral quality, cash flow, management strength, and overall business risk all in an effort towards the Portfolio Manager and credit team to make sound credit recommendations.

10. Maintains and organizes the prospective and existing client credit e-files. In addition, supports Portfolio Manager with follow-up requests including sectional review of credit and loan documents.

11. Supports Portfolio Manager with scheduling due diligence activities, including coordination of third-party field exams and appraisals. This also includes working with Hanmi A/P department to ensure timely and accurate accounting of prospective client good faith deposits as well as payment to critical vendors for prospect or recurring engagements.

12. Collaborates with Portfolio Manager to ensure smooth funding, compliance tracking, and collateral controls as it relates to other departments.

13. Actively supports Portfolio Manager with underperforming or higher-risk accounts.

14. Works with operations and the deposit and treasury management team with respect to assisting, when necessary, on the client’s account set-up and prospective transaction structures and borrower operational needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred and at least 2 years of related experience and/or training in commercial lending/ asset-based lending, including collateral or financial analysis; assisting portfolio management..

• Basic credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment skills preferred.

• Basic understanding and exposure to ABL structures, collateral monitoring, borrowing base mechanics, and field exam reports and processes.

• Basic understanding as it relates to secured loans backed by receivables, inventory, equipment, and other tangible assets.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with ABL-specific monitoring and reporting systems – Solifi – ABL Monitoring software.

• Experience working in middle-market and/or lower middle-market ABL environments.

• Ability to develop familiarity with credit rating systems and regulatory compliance requirements related to commercial lending.

• Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing and spreadsheet software programs and most importantly Solifi, nCino, and Asset Reader.

• Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

• Advanced math skills; ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.

• Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions including writing basic reports, correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.

• Ability to understand instruction and work with limited supervision while performing duties.

Pay $70,000 - $113,000 per year. The salary reflects the full, reasonably expected salary range for this position. Salary is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates may be eligible for bonus, stock, commissions, and incentives at the Company’s sole discretion.
