Job Description

Description:
  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials as well as conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods in an electronics environment.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work-flow space requirements and equipment layout.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Conducts time studies, advises staffing requirements and other related cost information for management decisions.
  • Confer with planning and other engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Work with quality team to ensure equipment and processes conform to ISO requirements.
  • Developing machine programs and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Product and process development knowledge required.
  • Ability to deal with complex electronic manufacturing concepts necessary.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures required.
  • A working knowledge of soldering systems is highly desirable.
