ProFlex Physical Therapy, powered by Areté Health, is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

You'll work primarily with patients recovering from hand and upper-extremity injuries, including acute and post-surgical conditions, helping them regain function, independence, and confidence in their daily activities. Working alongside a collaborative rehabilitation team and communicating directly with hand surgeons, you'll provide individualized, evidence-based care that makes a meaningful difference in each patient's recovery.

What you'll want to know

• Compensation: $82,500–$100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Schedule: Full-time, with scheduling flexibility based on clinic and team needs.
• Location: ProFlex Physical Therapy | Chantilly, VA. This is an onsite clinical position.
• Work environment: Outpatient rehabilitation clinic with a caseload focused on acute and post-surgical hand and upper-extremity conditions. You'll collaborate with the Clinic Director, fellow rehabilitation professionals, and referring hand surgeons to coordinate patient care.

• Evaluate patients with hand and upper-extremity injuries, identifying functional limitations, rehabilitation needs, and individual treatment goals.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for acute injuries, post-surgical conditions, and other upper-extremity rehabilitation needs.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic activities, manual therapy, appropriate modalities, ADL retraining, and functional rehabilitation techniques.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, safety, and strategies to support recovery outside the clinic.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, physical therapists, and other clinical team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in team collaboration, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.

Required

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and evidence-based treatment skills.
• Ability to manage an outpatient caseload while maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Interest in treating hand and upper-extremity conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation.

Preferred

• Previous experience in outpatient occupational therapy, particularly hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation.
• Experience treating acute injuries and post-surgical conditions.
• Familiarity with therapeutic equipment, adaptive devices, and standard rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience collaborating with hand surgeons or other referring specialists.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, particularly Prompt EMR.
