logcat.ai is the AI engineering layer for the operating-system stack. We build agentic systems for Linux and Android devices: we ingest the diagnostic artifacts a device emits (bugreports, logcat, dmesg, modem traces, ramdumps, perfetto, pcap, CAN) and help device makers diagnose, remediate, test, and author features across their OS stack, grounded in their own BSP. Think Datadog and Cursor combined for the OS layer. A VC-backed startup with a small, senior team — you work directly with the founders.

We recently raised a $2.55M pre-seed. The product is scaling and the customer list is growing. The team is still small, so you'll own what you build.

We open roles slowly, which means the role you'd be great at often doesn't exist yet, though sometimes it exists a month later.

We hire in Seattle, Bengaluru, India and Canada. For niche roles, we open the search up across the United States and Canada as well.

Most of our hiring today is engineering: deep OS and device work (kernel, Android, modem, Wi-Fi, CAN, tracing), the agentic reasoning layer, and forward-deployed engineering inside customer stacks. Everything else gets built as we scale; product and design, go-to-market, marketing, people, operations. Join those early and you shape the function rather than inherit it.

The kind of people we are generally hiring for

• Depth somewhere real. One thing you know really well, and can explain how you came to know it.
• Beyond the technical skill we are hiring for people with curiosity, kindness, and a real instinct to help.
• AI tools in your daily work. Claude Code or equivalent for engineers; for everyone else, some part of your job you've already rebuilt around these tools.
• Comfort with ambiguity. You'll define the approach as often as you execute one.
