Strategic Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Account Manager based in India.

This role sits at the core of strategic commercial growth within the life sciences and diagnostics space, focusing on building and expanding high-value partnerships with leading healthcare institutions. You will be responsible for managing key hospital and healthcare accounts, driving long-term revenue growth across advanced diagnostic and pathology portfolios. The position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, commercial execution, and stakeholder management across complex, multi-level organizations. You will work closely with clinical, procurement, and executive decision-makers to design tailored account strategies that deliver measurable business impact. This is a high-visibility role where you will influence multi-site agreements, pricing strategies, and long-term partnerships. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and customer success. The environment is fast-paced, highly matrixed, and mission-driven, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes through diagnostic innovation.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key hospital groups and healthcare networks to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, clinical leaders, and procurement stakeholders across assigned accounts.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing structures, multi-site agreements, and long-term partnership contracts.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling across diagnostic portfolios, including histopathology, advanced staining, and digital pathology solutions.
  • Monitor account performance, market trends, and competitive activity to refine strategies and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, service, finance, supply chain, and clinical applications to deliver customer value.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM updates to maintain visibility of business performance.
  • Execute account strategies aligned with organizational goals to deliver revenue, margin, and growth targets.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences sales.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in key account management or strategic account roles.
  • Proven track record of managing large hospital networks or healthcare enterprise accounts with complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong ability to build and execute strategic account plans that drive sustained revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of sales metrics, pricing strategies, margin management, and value-based selling.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in pathology, diagnostics, or oncology-related medical devices is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as SFDC and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
