  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and PDF/UA accessibility standards across all deliverables.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to validate accessibility accuracy, structure, and usability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline remediation workflows and ensure efficient document processing.
  • Manage turnaround timelines while balancing multiple files and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement of remediation processes and accessibility best practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in document accessibility remediation and a strong understanding of accessibility standards and tools. You are highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deadlines in a structured consulting environment.

  • 2+ years of experience in document accessibility remediation or related digital accessibility work.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and PDF/UA standards.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and accessibility tools such as CommonLook, Equidox, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain high-quality output.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Certification such as CPACC or WAS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas) or large-scale remediation projects is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly consulting rate ($40–$65/hr, depending on experience and contract terms).
  • Flexible part-time consulting engagement structure.
  • Remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Exposure to large-scale accessibility and compliance projects.
