Manager, Implementations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Implementations based in the United States.

This role sits at the heart of complex 3PL implementation projects, ensuring new client operations are successfully designed, configured, and launched across distribution and fulfillment environments. You will lead cross-functional execution efforts that connect operations, IT, engineering, and customer teams to deliver seamless go-live experiences. Acting as both a project leader and operational advisor, you will define processes, systems requirements, and KPIs that shape how new business is integrated into the network. The role demands strong coordination skills, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in high-pressure environments. You will also serve as a key client-facing partner, ensuring alignment between contractual expectations and real-world execution. This is a highly visible role where successful implementations directly impact customer satisfaction and operational performance.

Accountabilities:

This role is responsible for leading end-to-end client implementation projects, ensuring new business is successfully transitioned into operational environments while meeting contractual, technical, and performance expectations.

  • Define implementation scope, operational concepts, KPIs, system requirements, process flows, and SOPs in alignment with client contracts
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, logistics, IT, engineering, and customer service to ensure successful client onboarding and launch
  • Lead implementation planning, execution, and go-live support, including onsite coordination and resource management
  • Oversee development and alignment of operational processes, procedures, and contractual documentation
  • Conduct regular client and internal status meetings to track progress, manage expectations, and resolve issues proactively
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate implementation risks while ensuring clear communication to stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead and coach internal implementation teams to support complex and strategic client launches
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and operational alignment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize implementation processes and outcomes
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in logistics, 3PL operations, and implementation or project-based environments, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, implementation, or startup/change management environments
  • Experience working in 3PL, distribution, or fulfillment center operations
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and operational workflows
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and operational systems (scanner or warehouse technology experience preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage risk, timelines, and competing priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
  • SQL or technical data experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% and work flexible schedules, including weekends when needed
