Job Title: Medical Assistant – ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) Office
Location: 2515 Foresight Circle, Grand Junction, CO 8105
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Physician and Practice Manager
Colorado West Ear, Nose & Throat / Audiology & Allergy is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Audiology Technician to support our audiologists in delivering exceptional patient care. This position plays a key role in patient flow, hearing aid support, diagnostic testing preparation, and administrative coordination within a busy specialty practice.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Prepare patients for audiology appointments and assist with patient intake.
- Obtain and document medical histories and hearing-related concerns.
- Perform hearing aid cleanings, maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
- Educate patients on hearing aid care, use, and maintenance.
- Assist audiologists with diagnostic testing and procedures.
- Ensure examination rooms and equipment are clean and properly stocked.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
Administrative Duties
- Manage hearing aid inventory, supplies, and manufacturer orders.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care.
- Process hearing aid shipments, warranties, and repair requests.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and authorizations.
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Manage medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Requirements: Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and computer skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in healthcare, audiology, ENT, or medical office settings.
- Experience with hearing aids or medical devices.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to assist patients and handle audiology equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
