We provide the industry with access to approximately 850,000 shipping racks/carts for delivery of live plants to garden center retailers. JOB OVERVIEW
The Sales Account Executive strives to increase sales and grow market share in their assigned region of North America. The SAE is responsible for identifying new opportunities, following up on potential leads and developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of assigned customers. They will also act as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions. The Sales Account Executive is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent customer needs and goals within the organization to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
- Generate leads and follow up on incoming inquiries.
- Evaluates customer needs, builds sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and builds productive, long-lasting relationships
- Recommends product or service enhancements to improve sales potential
- Secure profitable revenue from new Customers so that CC’s revenue growth objectives are achieved
- Collaborate with Account Management team to secure revenue growth from existing Customers by promoting expanded use of CC’s core services
- Work with internal teams to develop and deliver outstanding presentations
- Support development and launch of new CC products and services
- Identify and implement additional training with customers as needed for implementation
- Travel to prospective customer sites to understand needs and provide tailored sales solutions
- Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and conferences

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with related field experience required
- 3+ years outside Sales and Account Management experience with proven ability to close business
- Horticulture industry experience preferred
- Proven track record of developing new business and growing market share
- Must have a solution-driven mindset with ability to tailor solutions to customer needs
- Must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time
- Strong analytical capabilities including a high level of dexterity with Excel/Access are preferred
- Ability to track and use data for improved sales outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work with a wide range of personalities
- Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
- Supply Chain, 3PL, Carrier experience a plus but not required
- Self-motivated, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
