Overview
The Ascendancy Group is seeking experienced professionals to support the USSOCOM Directorate of Operations (J3), J3-International (J3-I) Division, in advancing collaboration, interoperability, and strategic engagement across the global Special Operations community. J3-I strengthens alliances, enhances multinational readiness, and supports USSOCOM’s network of Special Operations Liaison Officers while integrating insights from Allied and Partner Nation SOF into enterprise planning. This effort directly contributes to the development of an international SOF Common Operating Picture and enables partners to deter in competition, respond in crisis, and prevail in conflict. Team members will play a key role in supporting international engagement programs, managing strategic relationships, and ensuring world-class support to international SOF representatives assigned to USSOCOM.
In support of the J3-I Plans & Operations Branch, this role helps synchronize partner nation participation in USSOCOM operations and planning, maintains visibility on international SOF activities, and streamlines coordination across TSOCs and Allied SOF networks. The role ensures partner requirements, requests, and inputs are effectively integrated into USSOCOM processes while enabling secure, efficient daily operations within the J3-I enterprise. This work directly enhances multinational interoperability and the development of an accurate international SOF Common Operating Picture.
Security Requirement:
· Active Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Identify partner nation SOF requirements and coordinate deconfliction, synchronization, and support with USSOCOM and TSOC elements.
· Track and manage all partner nation requests, inputs, and operational data to maintain awareness of international SOF activity.
· Contribute to the development and refinement of the international SOF Common Operating Picture.
· Plan, facilitate, and document multinational coordination events, planning sessions, and secure communications.
· Integrate partner nation SOF perspectives into USSOCOM planning forums and enterprise processes.
· Coordinate with Foreign Disclosure Offices to ensure appropriate release and tracking of operational information.
· Identify barriers to partner integration and provide recommendations to improve access, collaboration, and interoperability.
· Produce and synchronize situational reporting based on partner nation inputs and operational updates.
· Support daily operations of the J3-I facility, including secure collaboration spaces and partner nation work areas.
· Execute security procedures, including close-out and escort duties, in accordance with J3-I standards.
Position Requirements:
· Graduate of US SOF component selection and assessment program such as US Army SFQC, BUDS or another SOF component equivalent.
· Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university.
· One-year recent (last 5 years) combat/operational experience as part of International Stabilization Force Afghanistan (ISAF) or similar multinational special operation.
· 3 years recent (last 7 years) of regional experience as member of GCC or TSOC staff.
· Graduate of a Joint Professional Military Education course, Intermediate Development Course or a Senior Professional Military Education Course
· 1 years’ experience in international SOF environment, (e.g., assignment to Multinational (MN) SOF headquarters such as the NATO SOF HQ, or GCC coalition coordination center).
· Experience with Foreign Disclosure and working with international partner information exchanges.
