Job Description
CURATE GROUP
Role: People & Culture Partner, Curate Group
Reports to: Chief of Staff
Contract: Full Time Maternity Cover, 3:2 hybrid
12 months fixed term, with the potential to become permanent
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Curate Group is a dynamic events and experiences company, creating unforgettable moments that bring people together. We specialise in unique, high-quality live events - from large scale festivals, immersive concerts, cultural experiences and corporate events partnering with some of the world’s most exciting brands.
Our mission is to bring people together for fun, connection and moments that last. As a growing business, we value curiosity, collaboration and a people-first approach, giving our team the freedom and support to innovate and thrive.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re launching our next People & Culture Partner hire to cover maternity leave (12-month fixed-term, with potential to go permanent), reporting to the Chief of Staff.
You’ll pick up where the outgoing P&C Partner has left off, continuing to build out people infrastructure (HRIS, performance management, talent processes) while having real scope to adapt the strategy as the business grows.
The role spans the full people remit - recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll partnership and leading compliant EU hiring expansion - plus a cultural piece, driving initiatives that unite Curate Group's global teams.
You’ll work alongside a US-based P&C Partner and closely with the Chief of Staff and Financial Controller, providing a real sense of team.
There is tremendous potential to make a real impact on the performance, productivity and growth of a scaling, global events business. We care deeply about what we do and create an environment that actively encourages entrepreneurial thinking. If an idea fails, we fail together, we learn and we try something new. If we win, then let’s see how we can keep it growing. This role has a direct influence on how that environment scales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Infrastructure building: continue to build the frameworks that enable high performance and frictionless growth, from talent forecasting to talent management to performance management
- HRIS implementation and data management: continue to build the backend of Rippling in response to company needs and maintain accurate colleague records
- Payroll: partner with the Financial Controller, ensuring all relevant monthly updates are captured in Rippling
- Recruitment: maintain, and where necessary, improve the standard for ‘what good hiring looks like’; hire end-to-end for roles as agreed between you, the Chief of Staff, the US People & Culture partner, and any external support
- Onboarding: ensure new starters feel welcomed, supported and set up for success from day one; continuously improve onboarding materials, processes and tools
- Leaders and manager partnership: advise, guide and coach leaders and managers, partnering to handle people matters with balance and care
- Employee relations: lead on all employee relations cases, balancing legal compliance with fact-based, but human-rooted approaches
- EU expansion: lead on legal employment document formation to ensure compliant hiring across new EU hubs (partnering with local legal support)
- Legal and compliance: Ensure the UK and EU hubs operate compliantly (including contract formation and updates), staying up to date with legislation and implementing as needed
- Cross-country and local culture: drive and partner on social and cultural initiatives that bring our global and local teams together, working for ‘one Curate Group’
- Colleague support: act as a point of contact for colleague queries related to people processes
- Team comms: support internal communications and team updates
- Documentation: create and maintain internal documentation, policies, process guides and trackers (including handbook updates, hiring tracker updates, policy creation from legislative updates, Rippling process instructions etc)
- Supporting wider team initiatives as required
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- New joiners that are consistently rated ‘would hire again’ by the hiring managers

- Accurate, compliant and well-maintained people records
- Scalable people processes that support rapid growth across key territories
IDEAL PROFILE
