Job Title: Teacher – The Growing Place

Reports to: The Growing Place Director & Assistant Director

Current Positions: Full-time teaching positions * Shift- 9am to 6pm * Pay rate: $25.80

The Growing Place Teacher at the New Women’s Campus (The Garden- Knightdale) plays a crucial role in teaching and ministering to children and parents in the New Life Program. This position focuses on providing age-appropriate curriculum and care to promote healthy development.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate servant-leader committed to excellence in infant/toddler education. Candidates with experience working in a Licensed Childcare center are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:

• Implement age-appropriate curriculum and enforce behavioral rules in the classroom.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the interests and learning styles of children.
• Build positive relationships with children and parents, track children's progress, and report to parents.
• Manage classroom activities, maintain cleanliness, and facilitate developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans and encourage social interaction among children.
• Ensure child safety and follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain inventory of classroom materials and supplies.
• Assist in the organization of special events and welcome and support volunteers.

Experience:

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field desired.
• Required certifications: NCECC Qualifying Letter
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare.
• Experience and desire to work with a diverse group of children.
• Basic computer proficiency, ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors.
• Valid NC driver's license (required)
• Preferred CPR & First Aid & NCID.
• Pre hire process: Background Checks/Drug Screening/Physical/Health Questionnaire/TB Test.
