Job Description

Position: QA/QC Administrator

Reports to: QA/QC Manager

Department: QA/QC

Status: Regular Full-Time; Exempt


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality control procedures for welding processes
  • Collaborate with field QA/QC to ensure documents are accurate, timely and are in contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party contractors to ensure clear operation at client sites
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of welding Quality Control activities and results
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as AWS (American Welding Society) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization)
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring that welding equipment is properly maintained and safety procedures are followed
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and sales to continuously improve the welding quality control process
  • Assist in the development of Quality Control work flow procedures for current and prospective projects
  • Screen, interview, and assess QC job applicants for competence, experience, and qualifications
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future opportunities
  • Develop tools and documents to continuously improve interdepartmental communication and record keeping
  • This is primarily a QA / QC focused position, however, this position is also intended to help all other teams as needed

Primary Skill Set:

  • MS Office Suite, all programs
  • Knowing Adobe Pro would be a plus
  • Knowing Blue Beam would be a plus
  • Detail Oriented
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work with teams from other offices
  • Ability to pull information together, coordinate / assemble
  • Ability to understand technical data / terminology
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Background and Experience:

    • Strong interoffice computer skills
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and industry standards
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel, management, and other stakeholders
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Agile to adapt quickly to changing requests.
