We develop intelligent sensor technologies as well as safety and image processing systems with state of the art communication standards for industries around the world. As a result, renowned automotive, food companies, pharmaceuticals business, machine manufacturers and several other lines of businesses place their faith in our products.
We are currently seeking a Technical Support candidate that will report to our US headquarters in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support on all products
- First contact for technical questions
- Analyze and design product system layout for customers
- Prepare presentations for internal and external training
- Responsible for providing on-site pre and post sales technical support
- Visit potential clients along with account managers to assist in gaining clients through providing technical answers and advice.
- Assists with customer quotation when needed
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritize workload and be committed to continuous process improvement.
- PLC programming or deep experience working with PLCs (preferred)
- Mechatronic background (preferred)
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems; ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.
- Ability to anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of the Customer to meet or exceed expectations.
- Extensive knowledge of windows software include Open Office products
- Practical experience in industrial automation (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of PLCs, fieldbus, and other industrial automation products and components.
- Strong Math Skills (Able to do unit conversions) (Able to do calculations requiring Algebra and Trigonometry)
- Basic programming skills (Knowledge of C/C++, HTML, scripting language, creating Excel Formulas, etc) is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills in order to manage a variety of different tasks.
- Willingness to travel intensively if needed (expected is 50% of the time)
- Ability to travel internationally for technical training provided by our headquarters
