New Business Coordinator in Charleston, South Carolina at Anderson Insurance Associates, Inc.

The New Business Coordinator will work with their team and collaborate with the Production staff to write proposals, sell policies, and use sales techniques to gain and maintain new Clients at The Agency.

In this role, the New Business Coordinator will:

• Market insurance risks to companies in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the company
• Develop accounts and cross sell available products and services
• Prepare proposals and present to prospects
• Bring new business prospects to closure
• Make arrangements with clients to ensure premium payment on a timely basis and be responsible for collection
• Stay abreast of trends in the insurance industry and pursue continuing education
• Make follow up calls on insureds to ensure client satisfaction with insurance program and insurance needs
• Complete pre-underwriting, information gathering, submissions, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations
• Execute a quality control process for policies and quotations proposed, assuring coverage, condition, rating, and pricing accuracy
• Build effective relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, company visitations, and negotiations
• Maintain superior knowledge of market underwriting appetite, line of business trends, insurance company changes, rating technique, and coverage development

• Two or more years of related experience
• Coastal Exposure Quoting & Binding experience preferred
• Knowledge of Independent Carriers and/or Brokerage business
• Applied EPIC or similar management software knowledge preferred

Education/Licensing

• High School diploma required; Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree is preferred; additional insurance designations (CIC, CISR, etc.) are preferred
• Licensed Property & Casualty Agent
