Tug Runner in Orlando, Florida at Bag Truck LLC

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Tug Runner to join our operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely transporting secured luggage between airline baggage rooms and the Remote Sorting Facility.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tug vehicles of 4 carts of luggage.
• Manage loading and unloading of baggage and materials using appropriate handling techniques and equipment
• Supervise ramp activities, providing guidance to team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, ground staff, and management.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials handling tools to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation of incident reports and shift logs
• Coordinate logistics operations to optimize time management and resource allocation for maximum efficiency
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring smooth turnaround processes
• Uphold all safety procedures related to heavy lifting, materials handling, aviation operations, and RSF management.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics within an aviation environment is highly preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to ground support equipment such as tugs, forklifts, or similar machinery is essential
• Valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with federal aviation regulations governing ground handling operations ensures compliance and safety awareness
• Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent time management abilities enable efficient task prioritization under tight schedules
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently while maintaining safety standards
