Position Overview

Were seeking a skilled Laser Welder / Fabricator to produce precision stainless steel components for specialized laboratory refrigeration and climate-control systems. This position focuses on thin-gauge stainless steel and requires strong attention to detail, clean welds, and consistent quality. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder or fabricator interested in working with advanced welding technology in a low-volume, high-detail manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser welding equipment to join thin-gauge stainless steel (2216 gauge).

• Adjust machine settings and welding parameters to meet material and quality specifications.

• Cut, fit, and fabricate stainless steel components to exact measurements.

• Assist with fitting, alignment, and assembly of fabricated parts.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

• Inspect welds and finished components for quality, consistency, and accuracy.

• Use calipers, micrometers, rulers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions.

• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report issues as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Assist with additional production tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• At least 1 year of welding experience.

• Laser welding experience preferred; TIG welding experience is transferable.

• Experience with thin-gauge stainless steel preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and basic math.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs. with assistance.

• Forklift experience is a plus.
