This is a hands-on position combining scientific expertise, project leadership, and commercial thinking in an international environment. If you enjoy taking initiative, building partnerships, and turning complex ideas into tangible results, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
- Own and manage a defined segment of the Innovation and IP pipeline, overseeing initiatives from initial assessment and scoping through execution.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize innovation opportunities in line with strategic objectives and commercial priorities.
- Translate scientific research, emerging technologies, and external opportunities into compelling value propositions, business cases, and development roadmaps.
- Lead technology development and applied-service projects, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones, budgets, and readiness criteria.
- Transform early-stage concepts into structured action plans with clear objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, and decision-making milestones.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including scientific, technical, product, marketing, and commercial stakeholders, to advance projects towards market readiness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities, research institutions, technology partners, consultants, and potential licensees.
- Support technology transfer, co-development initiatives, licensing agreements, and intellectual property commercialisation.
- Monitor and communicate project progress, identifying risks, dependencies, resource requirements, and next steps to ensure effective execution.
- Academic background in Life Sciences, preferably Biology or a related scientific discipline. A PhD is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience translating scientific research, technologies, or complex technical concepts into applied services, development projects, or commercial opportunities.
- Professional experience in innovation management, life sciences business development, technology transfer, research commercialisation, licensing, or a comparable field.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a proven ability to lead complex initiatives from initial concept through successful execution.
- Solid commercial awareness, strategic judgement, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across scientific, technical, commercial, and legal teams.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, make informed decisions, and drive initiatives forward.
- Professional fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly within Europe.
- Previous experience in animal nutrition, veterinary science, diagnostics, biomonitoring, university partnerships, technology licensing, or intellectual property management is a strong advantage.
- Full-time position within an international and innovation-driven environment.
- Europe-based role with the flexibility to work remotely from home.
- Opportunity to take ownership of meaningful innovation and intellectual property projects.
- Hands-on involvement in transforming scientific discoveries into commercially viable solutions.
- Regular opportunities to collaborate with universities, research organisations, technology partners, and multidisciplinary teams across Europe.
- Professional development through exposure to scientific innovation, technology transfer, business development, and commercialisation activities.
- Regular European travel, offering opportunities to develop an international professional network.
