Licensed Practical Nurse in at VV Apple Infusion LLC

The Licensed Practical Nurse supports infusion care at Valley Vital Care's sites and infusion suites, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within LPN scope of practice. The LPN owns rooming, vitals, suite readiness, and the patient education duty, and keeps the chair turning so the RN can stay with the patient. The Level IV rung carries that standard into site leadership of the LPN team.

Core Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare the patient for the RN assessment.
• Provide patient education on medication, side effects, and possible adverse reactions.
• Assist in the infusion suite: seating patients, room turnover, and phones.
• Answer the call bell, assess the need, and escalate outside of scope.
• Clean and turn over infusion chairs and rooms to the required standard and dwell time.
• Document care accurately and on time in CareTend within LPN scope.
• Escalate clinical concerns to the RN promptly and without delay.
• Uphold aseptic technique, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Deliver the full patient education duty using approved teaching materials.
• Discontinue peripheral IVs independently and schedule patients in VCC.
• Support suite operations without direct oversight.
• Carry primary after hours on call duties on the assigned rotation.

Licensed Practical Nurse II

Delivers the full scope independently, including the complete patient education duty, and supports suite operations without direct oversight.

• Current LPN licensure
• 1 to 3 years experience; infusion or specialty preferred
• Independent on rooming, vitals, and patient education
• Comfortable discontinuing peripheral IVs within scope
• Carries the on-call rotation
