About This Position

IT Helpdesk Technician Level 1

Classic Collision is now hiring an IT Helpdesk Technician Level 1 in the Atlanta, GA location. Be a part of a rapidly growing company established over 30 years ago and known for quality and customer service in the auto body collision industry. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the business and other IT partners to provide a stable and secure PC computing environment by providing first-level support to the organization’s users via phone, email, and remote support software.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve technical problems (Tier 1) and answer queries by telephone, email, or self-service ticket supporting internal/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
  • Apply basic enterprise diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures
  • Document all customer interactions within a ticketing system.
  • Alert management to reoccurring problems and patterns of problems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers (local and network), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.), scanners, and workstation hardware.
  • Check workflow console and assign work as needed with other technicians. Elevate relevant issues to level 2 support.
  • Promptly and accurately complete service orders.
  • Troubleshooting client-side email and internet connectivity issues, i.e., Exchange, POP3, SMTP account setup.
  • Some travel for system integrations may be required.
  • Various other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

  • Be self-motivated, efficient, hardworking, organized, detail-oriented, and highly reliable.
  • Be able to work independently and efficiently, without the need for constant supervision, to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to promptly answer support-related emails, phone calls, and other electronic communications.
  • Be able to perform light lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Have experience with hardware and software issues.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Internet-related applications, such as email clients, FTP clients, and web browsers.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Be able to interpret reported issues and understand the urgency of any reported issues.
  • Have a working knowledge of Active Directory membership/domain joins, profile structure, and registry edits.
  • Understand print servers, malware removal tools, DSL and cable connection types and setup, smartphone setup and troubleshooting, TCP/IP configuration, and OS and application operations.
