About This Position

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Responsible for daily administration activities of the Clinical Care Department. This position coordinates with Clinical Care, organizational managers, department managers, and ancillary departments request to meet the needs of providing coverage for the organization. This position works closely with mangers. This position is also responsible for supervising the Float pool. This position requires the candidate work closely within the Southeastern Health Network. The Supervisor is responsible for a variety of delegated compliance, administrative and network business functions related to the Director’s overall managerial responsibilities for the Clinical Care Department. He/she must be able to function independently, with minimal guidance. This individual works with all clinical departments to coordinate network activities, keeps the Director abreast of all significant matters, provides clerical and operational support to the department.
  • EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum Required:
      • High School Graduate
      • Must have the skills to communicate with management and administrative personnel, with the knowledge of scheduling and coordinating to appropriately match the organization needs.
      • There is a minimum requirement of 2 years of healthcare related and/or clerical experience, to include scheduling and experience working with electronic medical records.
      • They must possess strong management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, monitor, influence, negotiate, supervise and delegate.
      • He/she should also have excellent communication skills (oral and written), organizational skills, interpersonal skills to include sound judgment, teamwork, and sensitivity to confidential information, human resources and patient related information and issues.
      • Background knowledge of basic computer software applications (Microsoft Office, E-mail, and CaLANdar) and operating systems (Windows 2003, XP) gained through education, training or experience.
