About This Position
Description:
- Develop and expand a diversified portfolio of clients through proactive networking, strategic outreach and leveraging existing relationships
- Establish a target list of accounts each quarter covering all service segments for ClearFreight
- Consistently meet and/or exceed monthly and annual performance benchmarks
- Work with marketing team to ensure closing of warm leads provided
- Actively promote ClearFreight’s technology tools and solutions to high volume clients that require product level visibility and supply chain tracking
- Provide solutions to customer problems or challenges through working with all internal departments to mitigate impact on customer supply chain
- Lead periodic business reviews and continuous improvement discussions to strengthen client relationships and identify efficiency opportunities
- Negotiate with agents and finalize pricing with customers
- Improve ‘customer experience’ by acting as an advocate for them, internally conveying their specific needs across the organization, to ensure prioritization of resources. Provide customers with business insights to allow them to proactively manage potential issues/problems
- Partner with Operations, IT, and Finance to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation for new accounts
- Champion process improvements that drive efficiency and deliver added value to clients and Clearfreight
- Monitor and manage AR to ensure timely collections and maintain healthy account performance
- Oversee all aspects of account management, including sales quotations, proposals, and administrative functions as needed
- Minimum of 4-5 years of sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics
- Experience selling Ocean/Air Import and Export Services, and Customs Brokerage services at a profitable level
- Strong ability to identify customer needs and deliver tailored, innovative logistics solutions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills, with a customer first mindset
- Highly motivated, goal oriented and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership for results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English is a plus
