About the Role:
We’re seeking a Data Engineer with strong Alteryx expertise and operational support skills to join our data team. If you have experience maintaining and building Alteryx workflows and are comfortable supporting day-to-day data operations, this is a great opportunity to make an impact. This role is ideal for someone who can manage current Alteryx processes, support legacy systems, and assist in our transition towards more automated Python-based solutions.
You will ensure smooth functioning of existing Alteryx workflows while supporting new development and operational data needs. Your work will directly enable consistent delivery, system stability, and scalable data operations. This role is also a valuable bridge as we look to migrate parts of our Alteryx pipeline to Python over time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Alteryx Development & Maintenance
- Build and maintain workflows in Alteryx for both Sandpit and DEV environments
- Build production-ready workflows aligned with internal standards
- Document workflow designs for reusability and knowledge sharing
- Operational Data Support
- Maintain and operate existing data assets, including legacy systems
- Perform manual downloads of Jira stories/features until full Python automation is achieved
- Provide day-to-day data operations support and resolve data pipeline issues
- Automation & Scripting Support
- Support simple automation or scripting tasks in Python under guidance from the Senior Python Data Engineer
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server
- Proficiency in SQL and understanding of ETL concepts
- Experience with data preparation and transformation
- Attention to detail and ownership over operational tasks
- Scripting skills in Python
Note: - This position is based Sydney, Australia.
