Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Disability Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support in various settings, including clients' homes and community environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

• Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in community activities, social events, and recreational pursuits to promote social inclusion.

• Health Monitoring: Observe and report on clients' health and well-being, ensuring any changes are communicated to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

• Skill Development: Assist clients in developing life skills, including cooking, budgeting, and household management.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in clients' conditions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare providers, family members, and other support staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field.

• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

• Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

• Previous experience in disability support or a similar role is advantageous.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A compassionate and patient demeanor.
