Driver & Helper at ALLY BUILDING SOLUTIONS – Fort Myers, Florida

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Material Handler & Driver to join our Ft Myers team. The Material Handler & Driver will load and unload doors and trim, while maintaining the general organization of the warehouse. They will also assist with job-site deliveries.

Material Handler & Driver Responsibilities:

• Accept and unload inbound shipments.
• Verify, inspect, and receive all deliveries according to standards
• Report any defective items, or shipping or receiving issues, to Warehouse Manager
• Pull and stage jobs daily capturing all needed stock and ordered materials
• Load outbound trucks utilizing hand trucks and / or forklifts
• Transport materials to individual job sites, and unload materials.
• Perform cycle counts on stock inventory and restock materials.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Material Handler & Driver Requirements:

• Material Handler and Delivery experience, preferably with freight over 50 pounds
• Experience driving 16+ feet trucks, preferably 26 ft trucks
• Department of Transportation med card and safe driving history
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Skill to handle materials safely and carefully, minimizing possible damage.
• Ability to learn and utilize daily company Enterprise RP software system.
• Previous building materials experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team
