May be required to provide continuing care and monitoring of patients in locations outside of Neuro ICU including MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and Radiology.

• Any and all additional mandatory competencies as defined by OHSU, the Critical Care Cluster Practice Council, and the Unit Based Nurse Practice Council

• Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.

  Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools.

6 CE hours of annual Stroke Education

• For your first year:
• If your hire date was between January 1 – September 30th, please submit 6 CE hours of annual stroke education by the end of this calendar year.
• If your hire date is between October 1 – December 31st, please submit your stroke hours during the next calendar year.
• Stroke Response RN:
• For staff who obtain the role of Stroke Response RN, they will be required to obtain an additional 2 hours of stroke education for a total of 8 stroke hours per year.
• Current NIHSS, cannot be allowed to expire
• Active and current OR RN License

CCRN, SCRN and CNRN are our unit-approved department-specific certifications.
