About This Position

A. For academic/transfer courses and programs, an appropriate graduate degree in the subject area is required;
B. For vocational instructional programs, an undergraduate degree and/or appropriate certification(s) representing industry standards for employment in occupational/career is required.
Physical Requirements:Regular exposure to unfavorable environments such as: Body Fluids. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment such as masks, coats, gowns, boots, goggles, gloves, or shields.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Wages/Other:Adjunct faculty credentials are evaluated to ensure compliance with the Higher Learning Commissions Guidelines for Determining Qualified Faculty and detailed in the Faculty Qualifying Credentials document.
All adjuncts must meet these criteria and are paid at the rate of $660 per credit hour rate. Adjuncts teaching fully online classes receive an additional $150 per credit hour pay for the additional work/responsibilities required of quality online learning.

Seeks replacement Adjunct Faculty to instruct Leadership Seminar courses in the Civilian Leadership Development Program (CLDP). CLDP prepares Fort Riley DOD civilians with leadership skills training and networking opportunities aimed at producing forward thinking, informed civilian leaders. Three 3-credit hour classes are offered twice per year: April-September and October-March, with class meetings typically twice per month in the AM. In person, on site instruction required. Interested individuals are required to have a Masters degree in the field or a Masters in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing, Leadership, or Economics. A minimum of two years of relevant leadership experience may be substituted with administrative approval. Qualified candidates must have experience with teaching courses using various LMS systems. Teaching leadership and management courses to include different leadership styles and processes favored. Experience/understanding with or of military operations or DOD employment favored. Strong communication skills required. Class is operated by Barton Community College with close communication with the Directorate of Human Resources at Ft. Riley.
