Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Director of Pharmacy maintains and is responsible for daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Assists the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) in planning, developing, organizing and directing the operation of the Pharmacy Department in a way that contributes to the goals and mission of Central Peninsula Hospital as well as meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. This position requires a blend of leadership, clinical expertise and administrative skills to oversee the pharmacy staff, optimize pharmacy services and contribute to the overall quality of patient care. This position also requires contact with the DOP, administration, medical staff, nursing service, hospital staff and non-hospital personnel.
REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- 5 years of Pharmacy Hospital experience
- State of Alaska Pharmacist Licensure
- BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association within 1 year of employment
