RADIATION THERAPIST I in Tampa, Florida at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center

Position Highlights:

• Performs patient treatments, machine warm-ups, calculations, simulations and radiation safety.
• Performs treatments on varying age levels.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Will be Registered in the state of Florida.
• Has previous Radiation Therapy experience.

Responsibilities:

• Uses the information provided by simulation, dosimetry and Radiation Oncologists to consistently and accurately set up patients for daily treatments.
• Follows radiation safety policies as they relate to the operation of the equipment and protection of the patient.
• Performs Linear Accelerator warm up procedures.
• Document any variations and reports to Physics.
• Performs and documents treatments in accordance to the planning documentation provided by simulation, dosimetry and Radiation Oncologists.
• Able to treat complex procedures such as SRS, SBRT, DIBH and Brachytherapy.
• Report machine failures and errors to the Physicist as required.
• Maintains equipment, reports machine errors to service and physics.
  

Credentials and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiation Therapy Program or equivalent is required.
• Certified or Registered by the state of Florida required.
• ARRT certification required.
• 3 years of experience preferred.
