Summary:

The Pediatric Physical Therapist is responsible and accountable for providing physical therapy evaluation and treatment for pediatric patients of Decatur County Memorial Hospital. The Pediatric Physical Therapist directs and supervises patients who are treated by physical therapy assistants and will comply with all policies and procedures in the Rehab Services Department and Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Job duties include: patient evaluation, reassessment, writing and administering plans of treatment, supervision, and community/patient education.

Work Schedule:

May work 8- to 10-hour days between the hours of 7:30 am to 6 pm. Mon-Thur, 8 am.-4:30p on Fridays.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education
-
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from a University or College with an accredited Physical Therapy Program.

Experience
-
One to two years related experience preferred but new grads welcome

Computer Skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

Certificates & Licenses

Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license and have a good driving record. Current State of Indiana license in Physical Therapy. BLS Certification required.

Other Requirements
-
Twenty-two (22) hours of continuing competency activities are required for each licensure renewal period. This position requires the ability to stand and walk frequently, use of hands and fingers, squat, kneel or bend frequently, and lift or move more than 50 pounds.
