Job Summary Statement

The Director is responsible for the overall management of the Marshall Cancer Care Center. These management duties include overseeing the operational, personnel and fiscal management of the Center with emphasis on providing high quality, compassionate services in a cost-effective manner.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director is accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction, leading day-to-day operations and performance in alignment with JCAHO and regulatory compliance. The position works collaboratively with the oncologists, builds community relationships, and sustains a positive context for the Cancer Center program.

Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience/Skills Requirements

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or Equivalent and

Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited program

Master’s Degree preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

5 years of progressively responsible work experience in an medical practice or oncology program

Previous experience in supervising personnel

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Experience and/or training in electronic medical record computer systems preferred

Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization to develop and maintain effective work relationships

Ability to respect and protect confidential information

Ability to be flexible and adapt to making smooth transitions under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to resolve conflicts and build teams

Self-starter with willingness to seek and try new ideas

Ability to create win / win solutions and relationships
