Job Description
As the senior medical laboratory assistant, you support activities as directed by the laboratory supervisor. You will join a team of laboratory professionals in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art laboratory service. You will collaborate with members of the laboratory team to ensure the needs of patients and customers are being met. You will support pre-analytical laboratory tasks, point-of-care testing, and phlebotomy as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 3 years of clinical laboratory experience
- Require ASCP (or equivalent) certification if an employee is hired /rehired/transferred after 3/17/2024.
- Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Fingerprint clearance cards must remain valid for the entire period of issuance and must be renewed before expiration.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Requires the ability to effectively read, write, and speak in English, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Requires excellent time management and customer service skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Requires creative, analytical, and independent thinking.
- Must be approachable, open to feedback, and flexible to change.
- Must support and maintain policies and processes.
- Must exhibit high professionalism and enthusiasm and have the knowledge and skill necessary to perform laboratory assisting and venipuncture techniques.
