Operational Assistant Job, 8-Hours Day Shift, Pre-Admitting Clinical Service

Community Healthcare System is hiring an Operational Assistant for Pre-Admitting Clinical Service to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The Pre-Admitting Clinical Service provides support to anesthesia and surgical services by ensuring patients are optimized for surgery.

Operational Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provides secretarial support to the manager, department and physician advisors.
• Utilizes tools to streamline day-to-day activities and to create appropriate reports, schedules and documentation; organizes, updates and controls filing systems as required by the department.
• Maintains a high level of initiative, dependability and motivation.
• These endeavors are conducted within established objectives, procedures, and philosophical framework of the Department of Patient Care Services and The Community Hospital.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Two years of secretarial experience preferred
• Medical terminology background preferred
• Proficiency in computer skills and programs, including word processing and statistical data
