The Halal Guys Cook Job Description

Reports To: Manager on Duty

Position Purpose

A Halal Guys Cook is not only a position which requires safety, quality and timely preparation of food items, but also the ability to display great communication and special interaction with our Guests.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Prepares all the food items according to The Halal Guys SOP (Standard Operation Procedures)
• Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the equipment before cooking begins
• Guarantees 100% FOOD quality, validity, taste and safety prior to cooking & serving
• Washes all raw food products
• Properly wraps & labels all the food items for food safety and shelf-life standards
• Rotates product according to FIFO “first in, first out”
• Clean and sanitize the equipment and work tools AFTER each use
• Maintains a immaculate work area by constantly cleaning and sanitizing
• Diligent when portioning and plating all food ? Checks equipment temperatures to ensure the food items quality and safety
• Keeps all refrigerators, prep areas and storage areas cleaned and organized
• Fully knowledgeable of all the food temperature standards
• Assists in receiving items and confirms that items are of good quality & accurate quantity
• Follows the instructions of the ENTIRE Management Team
• Reports any emergency situation to the Manager on Duty
• Use teamwork when performing all daily tasks
• Be willing to work with sense of urgency and able to take initiative
• Work organized, clean, professional with a HIGH level of hospitality focus
